GLAMPING IN MALAGA, WASHINGTON | travel diaries

Glamping in Washington is so beautiful!

We left our A-Frame on a gloomy and rainy, typical day in the Pacific Northwest. Our drive to Malaga was met with foggy mountains, and a little bit of snow was dusted on a few of them.

When looking for places to stay in Washington, I happened upon this fantastic canvas tent! I didn’t look at where the tent was precise. I just knew it was a must stay! I knew this would be a vacation where we didn’t camp fully, but we LOVE camping so much we choose to Glamp for the first time!

What is glamping?

It usually includes a canvas tent or a yurt of some kind. They may not have a bathroom or shower, but you do usually have electricity and a bed! Some glamping locations are more luxurious than others. Ours, what just right for us!

This particular canvas tent had a toilet just a short walk away and an outdoor shower! Remember our bathroom with a view? Well, this was a shower with a view! The shower was cold water only, but we heated some water on our camp stove to use. Inside the tent, there was a bed, two end tables, and a table for eating. Our favorite part was it had a coffee maker! WHAT!? Yes, the host added one this year, and it was great!

Our favorite part of our stay was the beautiful sunsets every night!

We would pour ourselves a drink and watch every night before putting the sides down and cuddling in bed watching Netflix! During the day, the temperatures were perfect, but at night it got SUPER chilly! As the wind is a normal thing in the area, the wind was brutal at night. But, putting the sides down and the added fleece blanket made for a cozy night.

On our first day in Malaga, we went to Wenatchee, an awesome Pybus Public Market. Here we walked around, saw apples the size of kid’s heads, and ate yet another cup of Gelato! Everywhere we saw Gelato for sale, we got some! YUM!

Also, where we started our Brewery tour!

Which included Wenatchee Valley Brewing, Badger Mountain Brewing, and Columbia Valley Brewing. AT the end of the tour, we got a stainless steel pint, FREE! WHOHOO!!! What they didn’t know what that we were from Wisconsin! The bartenders giving us stamps were surprised we did it in one day.

On the Sunday of the trip, we did NOTHING but nap and watched Netflix. This was due to that I get sick after drinking or eating some gluten. So with the beers that we drank, I was pretty ill-feeling. Thankfully the day was incredible. We enjoyed the breeze coming through the tent!

On the last day, we tried to find some epic hiking trails, but one road got WAY too treacherous for our rental car. If I had my X-Terra, we could have done it no problem! We noted it and will do it next time! So we just enjoyed the drive!
