A unique A-Frame Cabin in Skykomish Washington for our 10 year anniversary!
Whenever I think of going on vacation I automatically think of the West Coast! Pacific Northwest to be exact! Washington won my heart when I first when in High School to visit my sister! The mountains, the green and yes the rain! I freaking love the rain! People complain about it all the time in the Midwest, but man all the green makes up for it 100%
This trip to the PNW was for our 10 Year Anniversary! I started planning this trip almost a year in advance – places book up fast in popular places! I choose an “Instgram Worthy” A-Frame Cabin for the first 3 nights! When looking for places, I look for ones that are super cute, comfortable looking, a kitchen in some way and close to fun things!
The Tye House was perfect! It was a way from any big city, super cute, full kitchen and close to some amazing trails! We planned out which trails we wanted to hike, but we were a little early in the season and they were still snowed in. So we randomly found the Iron Goat Trail, it was supposed to be an easy 4ish mile hike that turned into nearly 10. We took a wrong turn, saw amazing few and beautiful trees, but hiked a few miles farther than planned.
Yes, we got rained on, but we didn’t care one bit!
Thankfully Google Maps still worked even in airplane mode! I checked out the map to make sure we were in the right direction! Yea, we were not! So we turned around and found where we made the wrong turn!
During this wrong turn, we did find a toilet with a view though! See the video below! No, we didn’t use it, even though I had to go. I strange fear of getting bit in the butt kept me from using it. Yes, I know it’s a strange fear!
The Tye House was perfectly relaxing with a gas fireplace, which was PERFECT after jumping into the hot tub under the rain. I have never been in a hot tub while it rained, but now I want to do it again! It was a bit sad when we left that adorable cabin in the woods!
